Getting a dramatic haircut? Use this opportunity to help children.

Aristotle's Muse is, by it's namesake, a store / blog for thinkers.  I would like to make it clear that that means it is not exclusively for the advancement of atheism or freethought or any other label.  I think it would be in any truly thoughtful person's wishes to desire a better life for those who are in desperate circumstances, regardless of the cause.  That's why I'm asking you personally to consider making a contribution to locks of love.

Locks of love is a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.  Primarily chemotherapy treatment for juvenile cancer.

If you can find it in yourself to donate a length of hair, I, as well as the children unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with life threatening conditions, would be immensely grateful (the longer the better).  If you are considering getting a dramatic haircut from long to short, there is absolutely no reason not to donate.  It costs you nothing and provides precious children with something vital to them.  A way to feel, at the very least, normal in the presence of others.

Won't you please consider helping?

  1. I'm glad you're taking up the cause! My wife recently donated to either this or a similar program when she got her hair cut. It's a great way to give back for those who don't necessarily have the resources to donate a lot of money to do some good.
